Delete your UEW SRC account

UEW SRC is the student app of the Students' Representative Council, University of Education, Winneba. You can delete your account yourself from inside the app. This page shows each step, what is removed and what may be kept.

  • Done in the app

    Profile → Personal Information → Delete My Account. No email or support ticket needed.

  • Removed straight away

    Your profile, photo and saved items are removed the moment you confirm. Your account is deactivated at once.

  • Cannot be undone

    Once confirmed you lose access to your account and your profile cannot be restored.

Step by step

How to delete your account in the app

Follow the five steps below. The numbered red marker on each screenshot shows exactly where to tap.

    Open your profile

    Open the UEW SRC app and tap Profile in the bottom bar. On the Student Profile & Settings screen, tap Personal Information — the first card in the list.

    Scroll to the bottom

    The Profile Settings screen opens with your photo and details. Scroll down to the very bottom of the page.

    Tap Delete My Account

    Below Save Changes you will see the red Delete Account card. Tap Delete My Account.

    Read the first confirmation

    The app tells you what will be removed and that booking and complaint records may be kept for SRC administration. Tap Continue to go on, or Cancel to leave your account untouched.

    Give the final confirmation

    The app asks one last time: “This action cannot be undone. Delete your UEW SRC account?” Tap Delete account. You are signed out and your account is deleted.

What happens to your data

Deleting your account takes effect straight away. This is what the app removes and what may be kept.

Removed when you delete

  • Your profile: name, student ID, programme, level and campus
  • Your profile photo
  • Your phone number on the account
  • Saved notices and saved opportunities, and notice reminders
  • Posts you submitted to the notice board
  • Your push notification registrations on your devices
  • Any staff or executive access (switched off)

May be kept

  • Hostel booking records and the payment details linked to a booking, kept for SRC administration and financial record-keeping
  • Complaints you sent, kept so the SRC can finish and record its response
  • Saved hostels and your Bright AI conversations, which are no longer shown to anyone through your account
  • A short record that the account was deleted, and the deactivated account entry itself

You can ask us to erase the records in this list too. See the request option below.

This cannot be undone

Once your account is deleted you lose access to it and it cannot be restored. You can create a new account later with your phone number, but your old profile will not come back.

Cannot sign in, or want your other records erased?

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, email hello@brandafro.com with the subject “Delete my UEW SRC account” and the phone number on your account, and we will delete it for you. In the same email you can ask us to erase the records listed under “May be kept”, such as your hostel booking details, complaints and Bright AI conversations. Records we must keep for financial or legal reasons will be kept and we will tell you which.
